Concrete Heart - Original Mixed Media Monotype

Original mixed media monotype featuring a balloon heart. The work begins with a digital image and is then developed through an experimental monotype printing process using a gelliplate and layered acrylic paint.

Because the print is created by hand, each pull from the plate is different. While similar images may be made from the same starting photograph, the printing process, layering and paint application ensure that every piece is unique.

Printed on biotop 300 grs, the natural texture of the material adds a raw, tactile quality to the image and enhances the layered character of the work.
